Booking Conditions

PRICES

• WILD AT DAWN shall be entitled, from time to time, to alter at its discretion and amend the prices on the web site and rate sheets, and while WILD AT DAWN will endeavour to notify all interested parties of any such change, they cannot warrant that
this will take place and the guest/ person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services is accordingly
advised to check prices before confirming any booking
• Certain services, but not limited to, entrance fees; airport taxes; toll gate fees; fuel increases and levies are subject to
adjustment without any notification to the guest/ person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services

RESERVATIONS

• All bookings are subject to availability
• All bookings will remain provisional until WILD AT DAWN receives pre-payment in full, and it has cleared in the bank account.
• All bookings will be confirmed in writing by WILD AT DAWN to the guest/ person or company responsible for booking the WILD
AT DAWN services, once pre-payment in full for the services has been received.
• WILD AT DAWN shall not be under any obligation to issue any travel documents or vouchers to the guest / person or company
responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services, until such time as full payment has been received.
• Payment is to be made in South African Rands, and EFT, direct deposit, or cash is accepted.
• A 50% (fifty percent) non-refundable deposit for all WILD AT DAWN services is payable on reservation and the balance is
payable 3 weeks prior to commencement date of the service
• For last minute bookings, WILD AT DAWN will notify the guest /person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN
services of the special payment due date.
• Please advise WILD AT DAWN of any special requirements before the booking is confirmed, such as but not limited to baby
car seats; wheel chair; mobility assistance; or carer assistance. All special requests are subject to availability, and the ability
of the suppliers to meet any such request. Kindly note that there may be an additional charge for special requests, which will
reflect on the booking invoice. No special request is confirmed until WILD AT DAWN confirms in writing.
• Please advise WILD AT DAWN of any special dietary requirements or food allergies before the booking is confirmed. All
special dietary requests are subject to availability, and the ability of the suppliers to meet any such request. No special
dietary request is confirmed until WILD AT DAWN confirms in writing.
• No alcoholic beverages are included on any of WILD AT DAWN’s services, and any alcohol consumed by the guest is for the
guests own account. Alcohol and anything consumed from the bar fridge in an accommodation venue room is for the guests
own account.

CANCELLATION BY THE GUEST / PERSON OR COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR BOOKING THE WILD AT DAWN SERVICES

• If the guest / person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services wishes to cancel any booking, it shall
only be entitled to do so in writing, and no cancellation shall be confirmed unless and until such time as it has been
acknowledged and accepted by WILD AT DAWN in writing, and shall always be subject to the WILD AT DAWN cancellation
policy or fees.
• The standard WILD AT DAWN cancellation policy and fees is as indicated below, however, this policy may change according
to the service providers that WILD AT DAWN uses, and are subject to the booking conditions and cancellation provisions of
the service provider.

CANCELLATION POLICY AND FEES

Cancellation at least 21 days prior to the start of the service 0% of the balance amount
Cancellation 20-14 days prior to the start of the service 25% of the balance amount
Cancellation 13-7 days prior to the start of the service 50% of the balance amount
Cancellation 6-3 days prior to the start of the service 75% of the balance amount
Cancellation less than 3 days prior to the start of the service 100% of the balance amount
• No compensation will be payable by WILD AT DAWN for bookings that are not paid in time.
• Depending on the reason for cancellation, the guest may be able to reclaim these cancellation charges (less any applicable
excess) under the terms of their insurance policy. Claims must be made directly to the insurance company concerned
• The guest may transfer their place to someone else if the guest is prevented from travelling, providing WILD AT DAWN is
notified not less than 2 weeks before departure and subject to practicality of changing certain bookings made in the guests
name. All costs and charges incurred by WILD AT DAWN and/or incurred or imposed by any of our suppliers as a result must
be paid before the transfer can be effected. Any overdue balance payment must also be received

CANCELLATION BY WILD AT DAWN

• The guest /person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services acknowledges that in keeping with the
policy adopted by tour operators world-wide, WILD AT DAWN shall be entitled at its sole discretion to cancel any booking prior
to the commencement of the first activity booked in terms of such booking, and in any such case the entire amount paid by
the guest / person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services, shall be refunded by WILD AT DAWN,
and the guest / person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services shall not have any further claim of
whatsoever nature against WILD AT DAWN as a result of such cancellation
• The guest /person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services acknowledges that WILD AT DAWN may
require a minimum number of participants to enable us to operate the service/s. If the minimum number of bookings required
for a particular service has not been received, we are entitled to cancel it. We will notify you of cancellation for this reason.

ITINERARY

• WILD AT DAWN shall be entitled at its sole discretion, should it deem it necessary for whatsoever reason, to change any
booking by providing alternate accommodation; activity; or other services to the guest concerned provided the alternate is of
at least of the same quality and standard as that in respect of which the booking was originally made.
• The itinerary is a guide to which WILD AT DAWN will attempt to adhere, but it may be necessary to alter this at short notice as
a result of circumstances or events outside our control such as adverse weather or road conditions or any of those amounting
to “force majeure” (see paragraph below), or due to the operating conditions imposed by owners and operators of
accommodation, facilities and transport. The itinerary will, however, be the same in content as far as is reasonably possible,
unless circumstances beyond our control make this impossible.
• In these booking conditions, “force majeure” means any event which WILD AT DAWN or the supplier of the service(s) in
question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include, whether actual or threatened, war, riot,
civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, significant risks to human health such as the
outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our
control.
• The guest shall be liable to pay, in advance, for any new and additional services they request whilst traveling on the ground
which are not included in the original itinerary.

CHILD POLICY

• Certain overland tours; accommodation venues; game drives; day tours and excursions; animal interactions; and arts and
crafts activities have a minimum age requirement. Kindly confirm the child policy and prices with WILD AT DAWN before
booking a service.
• WILD AT DAWN acts only as an agent on behalf of its suppliers. The child policy is at the discretion of the supplier, and WILD
AT DAWN cannot be held liable for any changes to the suppliers’ child policy.
• A child of 12 years and older will be charged the full adult rate for services provided, unless otherwise agreed in writing by
WILD AT DAWN

MALARIA

• Kindly be advised that if the guest / person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services is booking a tour
to the Kruger National Park, it is a malaria area. WILD AT DAWN recommends that the necessary precautions be taken in this
regard and that the guest seek advice from a medical doctor regarding antimalarial medication commencing before travel,
and continuing during and after travel

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

• The guest /person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services acknowledges and accepts that WILD AT
DAWN at all times acts only as an agent on behalf of its suppliers and will not be liable for any loss or damages, whether to
persons, their luggage or other items in their possession, or arising as a result of the exercise by WILD AT DAWN of any of its
rights in terms hereof and irrespective of whether such loss or damage has arisen as a result of disease, ill health, adverse
weather conditions or any other cause including any loss which may be occasioned by the negligence of WILD AT DAWN or
any of its personnel or agents and the guest /person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services hereby
indemnifies WILD AT DAWN and absolves it from any liability in respect of any claims which may be made against WILD AT
DAWN in respect of any such loss or damage which is brought by or through any guest /person or company responsible for
booking the WILD AT DAWN services
• The guest/ person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services shall ensure that the guest takes out
adequate insurance, including medical insurance, to cover against any and all such loss or damages.

JURISDICTION AND APPLICABLE LAW

• Any booking, made by the guest/ person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services with WILD AT
DAWN and any dispute of whatsoever nature which may arise there from shall be subject to South African law and the guest/
person or company responsible for booking the WILD AT DAWN services consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High
Court of South Africa for the resolution of any such dispute

AMENDMENTS

• This agreement embodies the entire understanding of the parties and there are no terms, conditions or warranties, whether
express or implied, other than those contained herein, and any amendment to this agreement shall, subject to the provisions
of the VARIATIONS clause above, not be binding on the parties unless reduced to writing and signed by all parties affected by
such amendments.

INDULGENCES

• In the event of any party hereto allowing any other party any leniency, extension of time or indulgence, this shall be without
prejudice to the rights of the party granting such leniency, extension of time or indulgence, who shall be entitled to enforce his
rights in terms hereof at any time.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT (“POPI”)

• The guest hereby authorises WILD AT DAWN to collect their Personal Information as it is relevant to this Agreement and/or
service which we are providing for the guest
• WILD AT DAWN is committed to the adherence of national legislation and regulations pertaining to the safeguarding of data
privacy
• WILD AT DAWN shall use information previously provided by the guest to perform our services and to amongst other things,
process invoices, credit notes, statements and any other document related to the services.
• The guest hereby confirms that we may share their personal information with the following persons, who have an obligation to
keep the personal information secure and confidential:
1. Employees of WILD AT DAWN who are required to be informed of the personal information in order to attend to the services
supplied and;
2. All third parties who may assist WILD AT DAWN in supplying the services.
• WILD AT DAWN undertakes not to disclose the guests personal information unless it is legally or contractually required to do
so, and agree to use all reasonable efforts to ensure the guests personal information in our possession is kept confidential,
stored in a secure manner and processed in terms of POPI.

General Information

TOUR TYPE

Wild @ Dawn offers day excursions/ tours and overland tours in South Africa.
Tailor- made tours are available on request, meaning you can tell us where you would like to go, and we can put a
tour package together for you.
All tours are subject to availability

TOUR SPECIALTY

We specialize in tours for seniors over 50 years of age, however, we will also offer private tours to adults of all
ages and children over the age of 8 years old.

DEPARTURE POINT

Wild @ Dawn’s tours depart from Johannesburg, South Africa. Pick up and drop off is at your door

TOUR SIZE

The minimum number of people on a tour is one (unless otherwise stipulated).

Average tour is between 1-4 Pax, custom tours for more available on request

TOUR COST

The cost of the tour depends on the age of the person, and is calculated pro-rata according to how many people
are booked on the tour.

TRANSPORT VEHICLE

Transport is in semi luxury or luxury vehicles, depending on the number of people on the tour

SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Please advise us in advance if you have any food allergies or special dietary requirements. We regret that we are
unfortunately not able to cater for kosher foods in house, however can outsource as required

SPECIAL SENIOR REQUIREMENTS

Please advise us if you will need to bring your own wheelchair or walker, and if you need a special accessible
bedroom on your overland tour. Please also advise us if you are unable to climb steps.
Please advise us in advance if you would like to travel with a carer. We are able to provide a qualified carer to
accompany you on your tour. Alternatively, you may bring your own carer. A carer is an additional cost.
