Formerly known as De Wild, the centre helps save the vulnerable cheetah through vitally important breeding, conservation, education, and research. It has bred over 800 cheetah cubs in the last 40 years. The centre also breeds the rare king cheetah, brown hyena, blue duiker and endangered wild dog, suni and vultures
The Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre offers two types of tours:-
1. Game drive tour - a 2 hour guided game drive in a Ann Van Dyk cheetah centre’s vehicle, through the cheetah and wild dog enclosures.
The game drives depart at 09h00 and 14h00 daily. Cost approximately R485 per adult (booking is essential)
2. Walking tour – a 1 hour guided walking tour to visit animals in their enclosures e.g. cheetahs, wild dogs, smaller animals and vultures (viewed through a fence). The tour departs at 09h00 and 15h00 daily. Cost approximately R165 per adult (booking is essential)
Includes:
Personal Chauffer for the day, with Door to door pick up and drop off (within Johannesburg), dedicated vehicle and Driver for the day, and light soft drinks and snacks for the transfer.
Available Monday - Sunday
Mobility devices and car booster seats available on request.
Excludes:
Entrance fees, tours and lunch.
