Rietvlei Nature Reserve & Irene Dairy Farm

Transfer in the morning to Rietvlei Nature Reserve

The 4000ha reserves ecosystem is stated as critically endangered.  Game that may be seen are free roaming and include 2 of the “Big 5” including  white rhino and buffalo. The reserve also has cheetah, eland, red hartebeest, blesbok, zebra, black wildebeest,  waterbuck, impala and hippo. There are 6 bird hides,  and over 350 bird species have been spotted in the reserve. 

Enjoy the morning game drive in the Wild at Dawn vehicle in search of the wildlife the reserve has to offer. Entrance fees are R79 per adult and R46 for pensioners 

Then Transfer to Irene Dairy Farm for a farm lunch

Irene Dairy Farm is a working dairy farm with over 120 Friesland cows, and you can watch the cows being milked in the parlour tour. Indulge in a milkshake tasting with 5 different fresh gourmet milkshakes to enjoy. Some examples is a milkshake with fudge, toffee sauce and marshmallows and a milkshake with berries, honey and macadamia praline. (N.B not suitable if you have a lactose or nut allergy)  The cost of the milkshake tasting and parlour tour is R165 per person

Personal Chauffer for the day and around the reserve, with Door to door pick up and drop off (within Johannesburg), dedicated vehicle and Driver for the day, and light soft drinks and snacks for the transfer.
